This arrangement was originally done for four B-flat trumpets and one bass trumpet.

In the recording by the UK Trumpet Ensemble on the Andromeda CD, the players used one E-flat trumpet, one C trumpet, two flugelhorns, and B-flat bass trumpet.

Accordingly, a variety of possible parts are included with this edition.
