This competition-style programmatic musical composition imagines a voyage to, and through, the Andromeda Galaxy.
At 2.5 million light years away, the Andomeda Galaxy is the closet known galaxy to Earth. It was named after the mythological princess Andromeda. It contains one trillion stars, at least twice the number of the Milky Way. It is bright enough to see with the naked eye.
It is currently traveling around 250,000 miles per hour toward the Milky Way. The Milky Way and Andomeda galaxies are expect to collide in 4.5 billion years.
